November 5, 2026
This Thursday, Nov. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m., vendors with baked goods and sweet treats set up in Sanborn Square, along with local artists and makers, and music plays through the evening. That's the City's November Night Market at 72 N. Federal Highway. Next door, at 71 N. Federal, the 1927 Historic Town Hall that houses the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum is about to start its busiest month of the fall.
Mizner Park Amphitheater gets the big ticketed and holiday nights. But those two neighboring addresses on Federal Highway host something on seven different dates this month, and several of those land on weekdays that used to be dead downtown.
Here's November on that one block, from the City's Night Market release, the museum lineup published by the Boca Raton Tribune and the Boca Raton Wine & Food Festival site:
Mizner Park Amphitheater, at 590 Plaza Real, has three November dates. The Tequila Fest is Nov. 7, with general admission starting at $99. The City's free Red, White & Boca Veterans Day celebration is Nov. 11 from 4 to 7 p.m., with live music, a veterans marketplace, food vendors and a classic-car show. The holiday tree lighting is Nov. 21, according to the City's holiday lineup as reported by TAPinto Boca Raton.
The schedule change behind all this is small. The museum's plan-your-visit page still lists hours of Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sunday through Tuesday. Starting in November, the museum adds Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to its October 21 announcement. If you're going by the older hours, you'll miss a full extra day.
Tuesday is also when the Boca Raton Historical Society runs its docent-led tours of The Boca Raton, at 501 E. Camino Real. The tours restarted in October and run on the second and fourth Tuesdays. This month that's Nov. 10 and Nov. 24, 2 to 3:30 p.m., and tickets are $29. Nov. 17 is a Tuesday too, with yoga in the morning and mahjong in the evening. So for the first time this season, you can plan a whole history day midweek: the galleries before lunch, then a tour of the resort in the afternoon.
Regular admission is $12 for adults and $8 for seniors 65 and up and for students 5 and up. Historical Society members get in free. The current exhibit, Life's a Beach, traces Boca's coastline and beach culture from the 1890s shoreline through the Cabana Club, using photographs, vintage swimwear and memorabilia. It's on view through Feb. 27, 2027.
Two of the museum's November dates are mahjong sessions run with Mahj on the Beach and led by instructor Kari. The Nov. 9 morning teaches Mahjong 101 to beginners. The Nov. 17 evening runs beginner instruction in one gallery and open play for experienced players in another. Registration goes through Mahj on the Beach, and the series continues Dec. 1 and Dec. 7.
A few blocks north, Four Sparrows Mahjong opened in September at 328 Plaza Real in Mizner Park. According to Boca Magazine, it sells mahjong sets and has an open-play space. If you learn the game at a Town Hall session, you can buy a set and keep playing without leaving downtown.
The Dream City evening is the month's most local event. Museum curator Susan Gillis wrote Dream City: A Pictorial History of Boca Raton, the Historical Society's centennial coffee-table book. She'll walk through how it came together, from Addison Mizner's Mediterranean-inspired vision to the city today, then sign copies. Admission is free for members and $10 for nonmembers.
The same day, Serena & Lily is slated to open at 880 N. Federal Highway. Boca Magazine reports the 4,500-square-foot store will have an in-store design studio and is supporting Festival of the Arts Boca. Both are on Federal Highway, so it's easy to stop at the new store in the afternoon and still make the 6 p.m. check-in at Town Hall.
This is the one night the two halves of downtown compete. The Wine & Food Festival and the City's tree lighting overlap almost hour for hour.
| Wine & Food Festival | Holiday Tree Lighting | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | Sanborn Square Park, 72 N. Federal Hwy | Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real |
| Hours | 5:30 to 10 p.m. | 6 to 10 p.m. |
| Cost | Ticketed, with tastings included | Free |
| Who | 21 and over, valid ID required | Open to all |
| Extras | 9th Annual Craft Brew Battle, A Hoppy Affair! | Music, food vendors, photo spots |
Festival entry is staggered by ticket tier. VIP + Lounge guests get in at 5:30 p.m., VIP at 6 and general admission at 7. The festival's ticket page says the price covers food, wine, beer and spirits with no separate tasting fees. It's produced by BocaRaton.com and The BITES! Network, and proceeds benefit the Children's Giving Foundation.
For a household with kids and adults, the timing helps. General admission opens at 7 p.m., an hour after the tree lighting starts, so it's possible to do both.
On Night Market evenings, the City says BocaConnect gives free rides to and from Sanborn Square, which you request through the Circuit app. Circuit lists BocaConnect service on Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., well past the market's 9 p.m. close.
If you drive, check the City's user-fee schedule, effective Oct. 1, 2026. City-owned metered parking downtown costs $4 an hour east of Federal Highway and $2 an hour west of it. The City lot at Federal Highway and NE 2nd Street is $4 an hour, and special-event metered parking can switch to a flat rate of up to $25. For Nov. 21, the festival points guests to the Library parking lot at 400 NW 2nd Ave., with 142 spaces, and the Community Center lot at 150 Crawford Blvd., with 81. It also reminds drivers to obey tow-away signs.
The block keeps going into December. TAPinto reports that the 54th Annual Holiday Street Parade runs down Federal Highway on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., with the theme "Boca by the Beach." The holiday-themed Night Market comes back to Sanborn Square on Dec. 10.
